XC Season Closes at Nike Regionals

The AHN ladies closed out a fantastic season on 11/24, taking fourth overall in the championship race. While they did not receive the coveted "at large" bid to attend nationals in Oregon, the girls put together a season for the record books at Holy Names, and head into Indoor as XC State Champions....expectations remain high for the rest of 2012!

Holy Names takes second at Feds- highest ever!

The AHN ladies posted the highest finish at Federation Championships in school history, placing second behind Saratoga's Blue Streaks. The team of Kaylee Scott, Lydia Williams, Leah Triller, Catherine Maloy, Jackie Wilsey, Estela Smith and Kaitlin Close have accomplished something no other AHN team has, and they appear primed for next week's Nike National Qualified. Congratulations.

Holy Names Captures Section II Class B Title!

The AHN women captured their first Section II XC crown since 2005, soundly defeating defending champion Burnt Hills 17-40. Catherine Maloyplaced 1st, followed by Kaylee Scott (2nd), Lydia Williams (3rd), Jackie Willsey (5th) and Leah Triller (6th). Merged results for the day placed AHN just ahead of perennial powerhouse Saratoga.

The team heads for Buffalo next week to compete for the state title. Congratulations!

Holy Names Dominates Council Championships

The Holy Names women dominated the Colonial Council Championships on Friday, scoring a perfect 15 in the varsity race. Catherine Maloy took the individual championship with a time of 17:35. Leah Triller, Lydia Williams, Jackie Willsey and Estella Smith rounded out the pack. The JV girls swept the top four spots in their race, led by Meredith Franchini. Rachael Francini, Isabelle Lombardi, and Chamberlain Harris took 2nd - 4th. A great showing for the ladies- congratulations!

Holy Names takes County title; Scott takes second

AHN took the Albany County Meet title this past Monday (after being postponed from prior Friday), winning over Guilderland (35-52). Kaylee Scott took second overall.

AHN Storms Manhattan!

The ladies took fourth place in the prestigious Eastern States Championship Saturday.

AHN asserts at Ichabod

The ladies dominated a field of 5 other Colonial Council teams at Ichabod Crane Tuesday, placing the top six runners (Maloy, Scott, Smith, Triller, Williams, Wilsey).

Holy Names Repeats as Champions at Utica

Catherine Maloy (19:21), Lydia Williams (19:30), Leah Triller (19:36) and Kaylee Scott (19:36) took the first four spots and Estella Smith (19:56) took tenth to score an impressive win over CNS (20-72) and 54 other teams.

The JV girls took 5th, led by Rachael Franchini, who placed 16th.

AHN takes top six spots at Cohoes dual meet

The Holy Names ladies nearly ran the table at Cohoes dual meet Tuesday, taking the first six spots and 8 of the top 9.

Ed Springstead (Shaker) Invitational

Holy Names takes the top three places to lead them to a big win over Guilderland 32-74. Holy Names was led by individual champion Catherine Maloy, who finished in 18:17, just kicking out her teammate Leah Triller (2nd, 18:17) and Kaylee Scott (3rd, 18:24). 7th grader Lydia Williams (7th,18:45) also placed in the top ten.
